Day 3: Mt Maunganui.

Day 2 was a washout – it rained heavily pretty much the entire day. Which is all cool and atmospheric when it’s dark and the fire is cosy, but sucks the potato when you want to go hunt glowbugs with a toddler.

So the next stage of the journey is 2 days at the Mount, where we spent most of our holidays as kids. Sad to say, that baby is now 2 and this is her first trip to see the Great-Grandparents at home. So slack…

The morning was horrible and rainy and windy and ucky (although someone did have a lovely time playing with her second-cousins Maddie and Sofi), but then this happened…
