Meet the Lillipop.

In early December our friends got visited by a stray cat, which they fed when they discovered it stealing chicken food. In return, she presented them with her litter to feed and raise (and cure of ringworm). This would be one of them.

Lillipoppy (or Kitten as she is otherwise imaginatively known) spent her first couple of months living in various bathrooms so the various households didn’t come down with fungus (limited success on that front), but now she’s livin’ large and attacking anything that moves. And many things that don’t.

I like her, despite the fact she’s given me lots of new and interesting scars. She’s soft like a bunny and occasionally snuggly and possibly criminally insane.

Yes, long time no update. I have no energy for aaaanything.

But we went to the beach on the weekend so Sam could be all manly with Dad’s axe and get us some firewood for winter.

We also checked out the sand…

… and the flotsam and jetsam …

… destroyed some sand castles (NO! NO SHELLS!) …

… got wet and built some kind of Blair Witchian structure …

… and then went home where there was pizza! YAYPIZZA.

This year’s card will be short. SO SHORT.

You see, we bought a house – you may have noticed? Anyway, for that and myriad other reasons, I’ve had no time to do anything much this festive season. This card, straight to the bottom of the list!

You have to forgive me, because that’s what Christmas is all about.

Humans are well, as are 1/2 of the cats.

House is minty and gradually taking place.

We’re not doing much over Christmas cause we have a house and garden to do stuff with.

Today Amelie helped me make cookies. ‘Help’ being relative.

That’s about all you’re getting this year; it’s 10:30pm on Christmas Eve and I think I’ve sat down for about half an hour all day. Just have to make the cinnamon rolls then check in with Santa and then I’ll be heading to bed for blessed sleep… I figure this is the last year for a while that won’t start at some ungodly pre-dawn hour.
