- She's eating a (whole) banana with a spoon. #
- Looked at a place, class it a solid mid-300… except it backs on to a park. CV? 540. Blardy heck Auckland is retarded. #
- 5 pages of notes for a 3 page case study. Must be bedtime. #
- I like how I'm supposed to make things as easy as possible for others, but they don't / won't do me the same favour. Ohwait, not 'like'… #
- She's now singing "Benjy Benjy Guy"… at least she's not singing 'shut up and die' like her granddad is teaching her… http://ow.ly/2s8h5 #
- Wailing an hour after lights out. Went down, she's standing up, sobbing, out of her sleeping bag and had turned the light on… #
- Undressed baby is staring at me saying 'Baff. Baff. Baff? Baff. Baff! Baff? Baff.' She should have got the OK before she got the nekay. #
- Should probably record the first sentence over 2 words: the monkey has a banana in its mouth. Or… munny bana mouf. #
- So apparently that baby went to the supermarket with her granddad, stole a jar of sprinkles and emptied them over herself. Bless. #
- My dentist is trying to track me down. This bodes! #
- Why is it, when I just get settled in to the guts of my work, the squawking begins? #
- Back at work, may or may not cough on doorknobs for a laugh. Kidding. Good news though: http://ow.ly/2pSJa – i r good englisher! #
- You'd think, after many years of wearing glasses, that one would learn not to smack the crap out of them. This is not the case. #
- Can't remember the last winter I had TWO colds. No sir, I don't like it. #
- People keep saying my name in ref: to more work. I believe I shot them a look I recently learned from a certain 2-year-old… #
Guess where we were?
But first, Amelie digs old toys. She basically ignored ALL the hundreds of dollies and went for the cars. MMhmm.
And I’m not entirely sure what she was looking at here, but we were up the back of Nan & Pop’s place and the expression’s just too classic.
So we went and fed seagulls…
…which are actually kind of scary (as Jack Sawyer would tell you).
Lookit that glee…
And that glee!
We drew Elwo on every beach we visited…
…and did some of this.
So brave.
Then we went home via Hamilton, to minimise whining (not just the baby) and to visit that baby’s bubby…
They’re almost the same size! And coincidentally colour-coordinated.
Nawww granddad hugs.
Then we came home. The end!
- I'd really rather something wasn't done at all than 'done' half-assedly, requiring more work from me to do it properly. #
- Watching Doc Horrible, end of 'Brand New Day'. Cap'n Hammer gets squished and a little voice pipes up "Uh oh!" Bless. #
- New today (along with the counting): 'apple pie'. So so unbelievably cute. #
- I dislike being sore-throaty. If only there was someone to blame. Someone handy… someone diseased… OHWAITAMINUTE. #
- One two three four six nine mouf. #
- Managed to get a screenshot of work's FB page with 666 'likes'. I feel I have achieved something. Iam so mature. #
- Had to call and verify my domain ownership so I could transfer it. The guy on the other end heard 'tantricangel'. Mmmhmm… #
- That baby is happily stomping around in PJs and glittery pink cowboy gumboots (a size too big). #
Day 3: Mt Maunganui.
Day 2 was a washout – it rained heavily pretty much the entire day. Which is all cool and atmospheric when it’s dark and the fire is cosy, but sucks the potato when you want to go hunt glowbugs with a toddler.
So the next stage of the journey is 2 days at the Mount, where we spent most of our holidays as kids. Sad to say, that baby is now 2 and this is her first trip to see the Great-Grandparents at home. So slack…
The morning was horrible and rainy and windy and ucky (although someone did have a lovely time playing with her second-cousins Maddie and Sofi), but then this happened…
LAAAAAAA!
So obviously there was more sandy fun in the offing.
But first, lunch.
Nan’s cat does not like anyone.
This is my paparazzo(a?) shot. Stalkerer of non-famous people.
A Michael Whelan homage (she has Gunslinger eyes)…
Nana joined us after her meeting.
Spudulika almost walked the WHOLE way, minus a couple of short episodes of carrying by a whining mother.
That’s Nan & Pop’s fence to the right, just in case you were curious where I spent a wodge of my childhood…
